Amber malt is a roasted malt that gives beers a biscuit like flavour with slight coffee notes. Often used in Pale Ales, Scottish Beers, and darker beers like browns. Very similar to Biscuit malt. We like to use about half a pound of this in an IPA with either honey or crystal malt, it makes a nice balanced malt profile!
